Honestly, I'm kinda unsure how I should feel about this game. On one hand, I'm personally not a fan of the complete Pokemon Go mechanics, and I hope we can battle wild pokemon before we use the joycon to capture them. On the other hand, I'm tired of the same monotonous cycle the main series has been in, and I'm glad that they're bringing something new to the series. I'm also glad that they brought back something that looks similar to the poke-walker. Overall, I'm probably gonna buy it (what version do you want to get? I'm going for the Eevee version).

Well, the only way it's similar to Pokemon Go is what the wild encounters are like. You run into one, but instead of weakening it with Pokemon attacks first, you just use the joycon to toss pokeballs at it from the get-go, kinda similar to how you don't need to battle a wild pokemon to try to capture it in Pokemon Go.
(yeah, the Switch is pretty expensive. Eevee is the bomb)
