Back when I had still been trying to come up with my own comics, I made a lead female character whose expressions are seen clearly on her face. I wanted to do it that way because when she encountered a huge problem in her life, I could draw her smiling, although her face managed to tell what she really felt.This piece is a scan of the sheet I had used to practice how to draw what she really looks like when she's truly happy or sad (or pouting cutely). I found it in a scrapbook of mine while I was trying to look for this old comic strip I used to make back in college.
Sadly, I've forgot her name.

Ah... I have a lot of old characters that I think I might have never named. ^^ It's great to look back.

To me she looks kind of like an. . . Ally. I like that name. Very cute. Like her. She's adorable. My favorite one is the expression at the bottom right corner. Very nice.

Methinks Naomi. Dunno why. I try to do these sort of things, but I always end up likeing one of them, and do a whole picture...or I don't like it, and try something else...darn my short attention span...
