Description
I see what I want to seeNothing is wrong with this story
Just goes to show that vision is good
And everything goes smoothly
But just then, what was that?
A slight pockmark in sight? A movement?
I don't understand. Like a finger on water
Ripples shooting out in all directions
Unknown directions that twist and swish
A curtain touched by a single tear
It must have been nothing
Life can't go downhill from here
I turn my eyes, expecting images to follow
But vision resists and does not turn
Outer rims, the side is shown, white and silky
Breathing tenses, where am I?
This is not life! This is lies!
A false vision in land of visions truths
Shadows resound through my head
Vision has hidden real sight from my eyes
And now real sight has come to me
The drapes removed, I see the truth
What is this? Horrifying which resides before me
This is real vision? Real sight?
Is this what was hidden
And is now known?
I want my old vision back!
Happiness was shown!
This new and real sight, so saddening
So horrible, life cannot be like that!
Why then is it what I see?
The drape that covered me, now unfolded
Taped to the lining an image
A vision of good, of love, of happy
Residing right in front of where my eyes had been
It wasn't real? Everything?
Why was it hidden? Why from me?
My own subconscious protecting me?
The mind covered my eyes with false lies
To keep me in a state of love
But the covering is missing, and shown through is life
So horrible, without the drapes over my eyes
Drapes that cover our eyes
Completely with false lies
Showing through with their ties
To the boundaries we know in the skies
Oh, these evil drapes that cover our eyes

I love this one, it really shows a person moving, transforming, from adolescence to maturity perhaps? or simply from ignorance to wisdom, or shertedness to exposure. This poem has a definate message but can be interpretted in many different ways, i love it, great job
