Back and forth
Like the drunken man
It has steps
Steps that shake in their shadows
Fleeting feelings with shaky footing
Walking back and forth
What happened to us?
Was it meant to happen?
My fault? Your fault? I lost
It all fell apart
But within these sullen clouds
Fate resides with strong will
And we still live
Even with lost support
Can it really be
This glass human hand made
Could be the downfall
Of all sanity?
Drain the tears of the sad
Remove them from the glass
Watch them fall sullenly
Let them touch the begotten ground we walk on
Without the water of darkness
Pain from broken beings harms us
When we lay in the death of nature
Constantly still, pity falls from our eyes
Its time to get up
Time to walk
To move my feet
Without the edge of ice beneath me
Get back up
Whether it be with help
From a soul close to home
Or on my own, get up
The knees beneath
Wobbly with unsure movement
Cracking with dust of time
To not lay for time
Make them move
Raise my spirit to my head
And feel my common sense and thoughts
Feel sanity
The other one lingers

Watch the pieces fall with the tears that reside
