Very nice and well done! It would be fantastic if there was a nude version somewhere.

A good example of different body types! I do believe it could use a bit more variation, but goodness there's so many body types I think it might be impossible to include them all.

It's still really great! Thanks so much for sharing! ^^

'' curvy '' -snorts-Β
I like boys and girls with big hips so I'll go for E, Im not even trying to be on the same boat as 'oh but there be more than 4 body types' I figure drawing all the body types would be hella tiring but in all honesty fat hips for the win

/applause

The thin shaming is really starting to get old. I'm pretty close to the third, but my legs are longer and thicker. I have visible hip bones and a flat belly, but I'm not unhealthy thin. I eat whatever I want whenever I feel like it, and I don't count calories. I don't have an eating disorder. My BMI is 21. Definitely NOT underweight. While I'm not sure that I'd define myself as "curvy" since I always envision curvy as having F-cub boobs, a teeny little waist, and then wide hips again, I'm certainly not a skeleton. I don't go around saying "Oh, you're too fat to be a real woman". Fat shaming bugs me just as much as thin shaming does. Why can't we women band together and accept all types of bodies instead of sniping about it and trying to start a war?

Very helpful.
When it comes to what I find attractive, my preference tends to fall in the middle. I don't prefer too skinny or too fit, so B and C are wonderful.

My answer is the not listed "e. All of the above". There is a place for every one of those body types (and many, many others) in my heart.

These comparison drawings are very nice!

youd need a LOT more to show all the body types.. and the last one it more.. body building lookign then fit..

chaosbringer99 In reply to Roors [2012-06-19 05:35:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I wasn't trying to illustrate all the body types. The figure is obviously based on the same skeleton/proportions. I would have to do a whole bunch more to show pear/tube/inverted triangle etc. Anyway it's just showing the basic hourglass figure as it's the most widely accepted as being "sexy", and showing what it looks like at various stages of bodymass. As for body building/fit... same thing? Fitness implies exercise.

as her muscles did eventhough they kinda tend to go away.
But. For ladies, I think 2nd and third are pretty. <3

yeah... you're right about that, but I wasn't trying to be realistic with this haha. Just drawing some typically accepted as attractive, generic body types. Just think of it as body mass increasing from left to right or something I guess.

I like C and D. Too skinny is a turn-off. I feel like A would break in half instead of bend in the middle, if you know what I mean. And I also find the "Had two basketballs surgically implanted onto her chest" girls to be equally unrealistic. I have a friend who is a size DDD on a not very large body, and she has lots of back problems because of her size. I mean, I know it's a fantasy, but every time I see a gal depicted like that, because of my friend and her physical problems, my back twinges in sympathy! And then there's the problem of living in gravity... Let's just say, they won't be perky for long, guys!

UM... these girls arnt really different, they just have different breast sizes and one is overly muscular, a better title would be "different types of breasts on skinny women" you missed the pear shape and the apple shape. also overweight girls.

chaosbringer99 In reply to 18Dream [2012-02-20 11:44:22 +0000 UTC]

Yes you're right, the body differences are fairly subtle (45kg, 50kg, 60kg, 70kg respectively I guess), but I was just trying to be consistent to the male version I did. I could overlay the images to illustrate the differences more clearly but that wasn't the point... anyway. I wasn't trying to illustrate every single body type, just cover the 4 basic "pop culture" types that are perceived as attractive in today's society (whether everyone agrees or not).

It's kind of rare to see "heavier" or "curvier" (whatever you want to call them) body types in comic book/anime and fantasy art nowadays, outside of "fetish art" that focus on the other extreme. I was just trying to give a realistic/semi-realistic representation for whoever finds it useful.

I'm sorry if the title is misleading.
