The 20 hour internet outage is over I can finally post this

For those still unaware, for the first time I'm auditioning for an OCT with a pre-existing character! Abbey is from my comic Hunters but it is certainly not required reading, cause I'm gonna give some more details right here right now:

PERSONALITY:
+Kind - she'll go out of her way to try to cheer people up.
+Optimistic
+Tries to see the good in everybody.

-Maybe a bit too trusting sometimes
-Pretty stubborn
-Can be reckless
-Self-defeating
-Has trouble moving on

If it can be at all avoided, Abbey will not seriously hurt living things, humans especially.

ABILITIES:
+Her ability to control fire is her biggest strength, but uses it surprisingly little.
+Prosthetic arm.
+Professionally trained in close combat fighting, quick, agile, and packs a surprising punch.

-She's a somewhat small human girl. Her physical strength can be overpowered without too much effort by stronger people.
-Not very physically defensive.
-Her arm is not meant for fighting and will break under too much stress. It does not give her abnormal strength above that of a normal person.
-Bad depth perception.

BACKSTORY / EXTRA INFO:
Here are a couple things that might be useful to know from Hunters, though nothing in that comic will be essential for Mystery Mayhem right away; think of it more as a way of understanding the person who Abbey has become. That being said, a couple of explanations that might help -

Her eye -> Abbey lost her eye at the same time as her arm, being mauled by a vampire-like monster.
Her arm -> The mechanical replacement came from a medical company; Abbey knows very little about how it works.
Her fire control -> For a short while, Abbey shared her body with a fire elemental from outer space who ended up becoming her best friend. When the fire elemental died, she left Abbey with her ability to manipulate flame.
Her job -> Abbey joined a group of monster hunters for a short while which is where she gets her combat experience, but after basically taking out the source of the monsters at the end of the comic, she's in the middle of jobs and kind of floating around. She's currently doing freelance work for fire departments.
Her relationship disasters -> Several people Abbey's had crushes on have ended up dead, and she's still not over the last one in particular.

In all honesty probably one of the last OCT's I'll try to participate in! (One more after this that is still in hiatus). I've gotten what I felt I could out of them and have been using that knowledge a ton in C6 (which, hey, here's yet another thing that Hanna pops up in) and feel like given a new OCT or a chance to work on my personal stories, I'm going with personal stories. That's part of why I decided to go with an old character instead of a new one, part to keep me interested, but in any case -

I have a pretty interesting concept I think that I'm hoping to incorporate throughout my time at Mystery Mayhem.

And come on, it's has 'Mystery' in the title, of course I'm gonna try it.
