Today is December 7, 2021 which marks the 80th anniversary of the Japanese Bombing on Pearl Harbor Hawaii since this day in 1941. That day, the Japanese made a retaliatory strike on the United States as a response to America's embargo with Japan. Japan paid the price with the America's atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki almost four years later. As of today, Japan is now our country's closest ally in East Asia and the people back then worked hard to maintain peace between the two countries. This day is to pay our respects to former adversaries and honor the lives that were lost.

I drew Deku and Melissa at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Park. They wanted to pay their respects to the lives that were lost in the attack on that day. These two are good friends just as our two countries are close allies with one another.
