An Ancient Saiyan from the earliest eras of Saiyan history. Unfortunately for all, Silphi is very much an evil Ancient Saiyan. Leaping through time via unknown methods, Silphi plans to become the strongest being in the universe and overcome even the gods.

Said to be beautiful beyond compare, her beauty is only skin-deep; Silphi is callous, cruel, self-centered, and egotistical; the typical evil Saiyan, really. Unlike most Saiyans, however, her obsession with power also extends to brain power; she is a highly adept schemer and, upon realizing that Goku and Vegeta were simply beyond her ability to fight for the moment, despite greatly enjoying the battle, she (reluctantly) retreats to fight another day, swearing to surpass and destroy them both in due time.

Being an Ancient Saiyan, Silphi's natural power and potential for growth far exceeds that of the ordinary modern Saiyan; upon exposure to the Super Saiyan form, she is able to quickly obtain its power for herself. She is also adept at Mimicry, an extremely rare gift in the Dragon Ball universe. Rather like Goku, she is able to witness a technique once or twice, and then copy it, learning how to counter it in the process. Schemer that she is, she regularly makes use of this ability to build up her arsenal as well as gain a measure of defense against the Z-Fighters.

She possesses an unusual connection to the Ancient Saiyan Fenna, though their exact relationship is as of now unknown.

Surprise, guys! I'd like to introduce you to Silphi, the evil Ancient Saiyan. I was on the fence about whether or not she'd be a female or a male, but one of my friends, rightfully, pointed out that it'd be interesting to have a female villain in Dragon Ball; it's enough of a sausage fest as it is!

Anyway, Silphi is named after the ancient (now extinct) vegetable, silphium, which was highly popular in Roman times as an herb, medicine and... contraceptive... um... Apparently, it's the origin of the modern heart shape. Ironic, considering how evil Silphi here is.

As for the other Saiyan I mentioned here, Fenna, I'll be drawing her next, so keep an eye out for her!

Art style wise, I was trying to go with more of a Shintani style, particularly with the hair. I think it worked out for the best. I'll be doing more with it from here on.

And before you ask, yes, this was digitally colored. I'm REALLY liking the results!
