Description It's hidden in the sky, unreachable to most, save the angels and the creatures they allow inside.  Although a fortress at first glance, it's also a refuge to those rescued by the angels, for nobody in their right mind would dare cross the creatures standing watch...

It's so beautiful... You've given me so many emotions just now in one picture... I love it

I'm glad you enjoy it!  What kind of emotions are you feeling from it, if I may ask?

I feel some sort of indescribable sadness. Maybe it's more like lonely, because of how I interpret it to be a quiet, serene, and cold place. But I also get the feeling that it's warm. Not in temperature, but the nonexistent warm memories that make it like home. But the fact that these memories are nonexistent to me, I suppose, gives off the vibes of cold and loneliness. Maybe the sadness cold be homesickness. Although... somehow this work of art is warm and welcoming too. It's as if the different colors and shapes and forms of the feathery bits are different, more complex categories of simpler emotions. It's hard to explain because it's so conflicting. I feel like there's a story behind it, like...
I think I just got it! Maybe it's like home... but something is missing. Something important, something big. But I just can't put my finger on it...
If I could choose one piece of artwork to describe myself it would be this one, because the conflicting emotions well describe my conflicting emotions due to my struggle with a mental disorder. All of your works are like people. They perfectly capture the complex emotions and thoughts of a human being.
(by the way, I set this amazing work of art as my desktop background! I want to see it every day. previously it was "Heat Wave" so now all of my favorite works by you become my desktop background <3) sorry this ended up as such a long explanation, your art's complexity is difficult to describe in a simple way.
Thank you for making such beautiful works that you share with so many people. I (and your other watchers) truly appreciate that you share this with us.

Very interesting   I really enjoy hearing this and appreciate the time you spent writing it; but it gives me a lot of insight into how other people view my artwork; it's a wonderful perspective to have.

My artwork is entirely a product of my mind, and often expresses emotion in ways that mirror a story related to, or created around the artwork. I'll spout a bit of exposition myself; normally I reveal as little of my own stories as possible to keep the possibilities open.  I use a title and description as my only mechanisms of conveying the scene and typically don't reveal the actual stories behind them in concrete detail because they may be subject to change at any time too

This is a floating city for a civilization (angels) in the clouds that also serves as a refuge for people they protect.  It's out of reach for the majority of creatures of the land, except those with the capacity for flight or magic. One of the characters in a story arc of mine sees this city on their way to finding a cure for the illness they have, which renders them incapable of flight and all but extremely simple magic.  By the time they find a cure for the illness and regain these abilities, the city has moved to an unknown location. They're not a member of this civilization, but they've been in this city before, and their particular race and this angelic civilization have incredibly deep regard and respect for each other.  While they were looking upon this scene (and memories of being there) fondly, there indeed is the sadness of not being able to visit it at that point in time, and of it having disappeared when they returned to this location later on.

Thank you  I love those glowing blues; they're something I like far more than fire because there's a magical and ethereal energy but it's not as confrontational as fire tends to be.  I find this type of coloring slightly harder to work with, but I've recently been doing things with color that I really haven't explored before, so who knows if that's going to change

Anyway, this has to be one of your best pieces so far! (At least in my opinion.)
Colours can mean a lot if used right, so it's never wrong to explore more!
