Description Don't have the tickling equipment ready yet, as well as several details, but just showing off some of what I have in story for the king of monsters.

And I also wanted to make this out, since as it turns out, someone else had the same idea of scientist capturing Godzilla to tickle him. I'm frequently paranoid of being accused of stealing someone's idea, so that's why this is up right now. Finished pic will be up this weekend.

Plus, here's a nice unobscured shot of his feet.

"And I also wanted to make this out, since as it turns out, someone else had the same idea of scientist capturing Godzilla to tickle him."

Yes. Everyone. It's not exactly a rare scenario.

So relax. Threading old ground isn't such a fault if you give it your own unique spin.

Alright, as much as I appreciate that, what I was referring to without giving it too much focus was that , when I was already working on it, came up with the exact same scenario of scientists working on Godzilla, just with minor details and had posted it on his journal. Do you know how eerie that is? This same thing happened a few months ago, I was working on a picture that had the Splinter's from the three cartoons all captured by Shredder and tortured together, so I am a bit paranoid when it comes to this. I have also never seen anyone else use this idea, it is always either another monster, or just some silly idea that has no logical reasoning behind it. So, it is not a scenario I have seen people draw all that often and when I came up with it, I thought I was being original.

And it is really actually very important to me that I make it clear that I come up with my own ideas, unless mentioned otherwise. I've had people accuse me of ripping off someone else's work before when I really wasn't. So I say this only because I know that someone will eventually say when the picture is finished, "Aren't you just stealing from dlpeattie's commission" and that's also why this sketch was put up before then, so that there is no confusion.

I knew what you were refering to. If it also happened with the three Splinter's, maybe you should just start reading DLP's journals to know what not to do. = P

But yes, I've been hearing about humans tickling Godzilla for years now. It's not that rare a thought, it's just one of those ideas everyone has but no one actually does, for some reason. This was coincidence, don't worry about it.

They do? Strange. Worst case scenario, your pics wouldn't be as good as the ones you "stole". Either way, they'd have more tickle fodder. I can't imagine why anyone besides the original artist/comissioner would care. Not like it's rare that people will reuse, or outright regurgitate, concepts and ideas around here, so you seem a bit singled out. Relax. If you didn't copy, you have nothing to worry. And if it bothers you so much, shelve the idea for a while and do it when no one remembers the other.

Okay, I do read dlpeattie's journals, that's why I knew that he was doing the same kind of Godzilla pic that I was. The problem with suggesting that someone do that though is that, as I said, I was already working on my pic before he announced his picture. And while I hadn't started on the sketch for the Splinter pic, I had already composed the idea and was simply working on other projects first. When I saw the sketch version of it from eternal.knot, I scrapped the project, only mentioning it because it was more amusing than anything and I wanted to poke fun at the situation, same with this situation.

And yes, they do. There are some people who are like that, that's just the way the world is. Not everyone is polite and understanding and all that jazz. And look, I know you mean well, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it and I do cancel projects if I feel I'm gonna get that reaction. And it is a lot of work, I've put my own Godzilla pic on hold right now, but that doesn't make me happy. Again, because it's a lot of hard work that's basically being wasted because people are often jerks and already it's hard to really keep going when it seems that you aren't appreciated for your hard work.

And I can't relax that easily, I have an anxiety disorder. However, I do appreciate that you are trying to get me to do so, because it does help with the whole mental state concerning pictures. But it's not gonna be that simple, especially when it comes to this as well as the general stress of work and trying to finish what feels like a hundred other pictures.
