Description
I don't even know if this is in the right category >>;;I wanted to submit some of the work I've been doing in art class in school~ It's my first time taking a painting class (and also first time using acrylic paints) but I have to say, I've been enjoying it. It's only a small high school class so there's not much to it, but my teacher requires reference photos owo;
The two pictures I chose to use as reference are ~Kamakaev 's Reflections about Past Summer and ~YuriHappiny 's meet me in wonderland.
Reflections about Past Summer shocked me when I saw the original picture. In a good way. It was a beautiful shot that gave me shivers when I looked at it. I started the painting in the middle of winter, so I wanted to do something that went along with the season. When I stumbled on this picture, I had such an urge to paint it. It's my first painting, and I'm in love with it.
I started meet me in wonderland in March. I saw Alice in Wonderland the day before I started looking for a new reference, so I was dying to do something along those lines. After looking around, I found this picture, and went 'THAT ONE PLZ'. Second painting accomplished, and sadly, the ending had to be a bit rushed due to a fast approaching deadline ;w; I had to skip out on a few minute details, but overall, I'm proud. There's also a tiny streak on the painting which is from me missing a spot on the polymer, but I touched that up after I took the photo >>;;

and gah, the first painting! There's a sort of tenderness in the picture, and the colors are just beautiful...and the snow.. YOU ARE KILLING ME OVER HERE.
