He aims to be a scientist. I doubt his intentions are bad from what I've seen of his personality but the trouble with us of a scientific mind is that sometimes we get so entangled with seeing a result that we fail to factor in other aspects. Curiosity is the very backbone of science but it is a double edged sword.

Can't say for sure if that's the direction she's taking but I do know curiosity drove Isaac Newton to stick a needle under his eyelid so scientific curiosity can drive people to do some crazy things.

He's composed of different parts so the nerves might be different in different parts of the body. Then again it would all share the same brain so that might not matter. I think there are studies that even indicate tickling is more psychological than physical.
