This image is actually upside down from the way it was taken. It's the reflection of the Salt Lake Temple in the reflecting pool of the Main Street Plaza. When you flip it the way it was taken the tiles of the bottom of the pool become much more obvious and distracting to the rest of the image, hence it's current presentation.Related content

Very cool....I like how you can just see the lines between the fountain's tiles...almost like the temple is shooting out rays of light and beckoning people to come in

the salt lake temple is such a beautiful temple, i wish i could go up and see it again. it's such a wonderful place to be, and i don't think i fully understood the purpose of temples the first time i went there! wonderful picture :]

I know I didn't fully grasp its importance. I guess I was jaded from having grown up in Utah, but as I got older I began to realize just how special they all are.

yeah! as i go through young womens and seminary i really see how great they are. i wish i could go everyday, but it doesn't always work that way, you know? ahaha. i guess i'm lucky if i make it once every couple of months. when my mom lets me drive, i'm going to try and go once every week.
