I just got a scanner... so I just was testing it out.
don't mind the crappy white stuff around the animation....

Background: Telly started his humble beginnings as a normal television set In the 1940s. Keeping children occupied with cartoons and letting the wife watch her soap operas was his main functions really. but...like all Televisions...he was replaced by a bigger and better boob tube.....maybe it was because Telly was guy and wasn't really a boob tube... like most of the girl model Tvs were...

Cast out on the curb, the now neglected to sat in back alleys and trash heaps....until fate would intervene as Telly would be picked up by one John McCarthy. Uncle John McCarthy, as he liked to be referred as, picked up Telly and brought him back to his house. Fixing Telly up a bit, better reception, color screen, Telly was a like a brand spanking new tv.

But with John McCarthy research into Artificial Intelligence and other Computer technologies, he didn't have much time to watch Telly, and he missed many of his favorite shows. He then came up with an Idea, and from there, Telly was given a mind.

John McCarthy wanted to make, what we now to as TeVo. A smart Tv which could record his shows and know what shows he would like to watch. And with his research into computer AI, it was pretty easy to build one. Thus, Telly was now a free thinking and quite lively Tv.

Going though many upgrades and incorporating new features in the Stanford AI Laboratories (witch John McCarthy help set up) Telly is as smart or smarter then most people. He is quite emotional, tending to overreact at things and has a tendency to quote movie and Tv show lines from the oh so many he has seen and recorded. Telly comes equipped with self supplying energy equipment, although he still likes to keep his electrical cord because “how else am I going to whip or trip people?” :3
