thanks! Just takes practice, and you have one up on me. I can't do 3D stuff. Give me a few sticks of Charkole,some BFK Reeve's paper, a modle and I can make it look like a photograph.

yeah I know it takes practice. I used to draw alot until I started using Auto CAD in highschool. Then a friend of mine gave me 3ds max and here I am today.
That's really cool that you can take just those tools and make something look like a photograph.

3D animation is a really good feild to get into now, just for movies, stunts, and other fun things that require computer skills like that. 
It takes a loooooooooooooong time and a lot of patients. Not to mention the mess is totally worth the hassal.

Hehehe, yeah it is a good field to go into. I am actually thinking of changing my major to something dealing with gaming or movie making. It does take a lot of patience especally since you start with basic shapes. But then you turn them into large space ships and what not.

Yeah, my University 101 class just had a talk about choosing the major that's right for you. There could be something that I want to do but then there are things that are better than what I want. At first I wanted to go into Architecture but now I'm having second thoughts.

ah, the first two years are meant for exploring. I'm on my second year now. Still love languages, but not too sure if I want to talk to people all the time. Translating texts might be entertaining. And then there's Cartooning. 
Architecture, huh? My cousin is in that feild, and he loves it. He went into that field instead of being police officer like his older brother. So glad he didn't go there. *sighs* That man is a nut! I freak out everytime someone says they're taking me to visit him. He almost got me and my cousin killed!! umm... sorry about that.

Yeah there is a lot to explore. I'm going to keep architecture an option but I want to see where 3d modeling would take me. I've been doing more work with space ships and such rather than buildings.

I'm glad you like the ships, yeah it's going to take a while to get through the entire gallery. But you may not have too, I have plans, after I finish a couple of other models, to compile all the ships dealing with the BHA into a two part size chart. I'll be sure to make links to all the originals.

Oh no I don't have as many deviations as Snake. 3d stuff takes longer to pump out than drawings because you need to worry about every single angle of the thing you're modeling.

heheh you can do that with just pencil stuff too. But geez, I don't think I could ever pump out as many sketches as him. My muse is as lazy as me. XD

Yeah, well we don't know what his life is really like so we don't really know how he does it. He may just have a lot of free time. I do but most of it is spent with my friends and work. I model whenever I get the chance. I'm still trying to work on texturing, I may be part of an RTS game thing. I got contacted by some guy who liked my stuff and if I can show him something decent he may consider letting me do texturing. Finally I have the motivation to actually look at this pelt mapping tutorial I have.

Yeah, he also makes time. I just waste mine browsing DA, sketching, homework, or wahtching a little bit of tv. Maybe even a little video games but not til winter break.

Yeah but from what I figured out RTS gaming is more focused on texturing rather than modeling. It's not like some of the newer games today that have awesome graphics, its meant to be something cheap but cool.

Yup, thought at the moment I'm not sure if I could handle deadlines for things sine I'm kind of swapped with things I need to finish both what I want to do and what I need to do for next semester so I have all my books and such. Plus with college work as it is I may not have time to work on what ever he gives me.
