That detail is stunning, with the transparent upper wing and the veins in the leaf and all...
I think the red wing is looking at me, with that big blue eye in the upper area of it. It's a wonderful adaptation, on the butterflies' part, to create the illusion of being larger than they actually are by forming a false eye. I must wonder, though, whether this one's false eye will really scare off the enemies, or simply entrance them.

i must have totally missed this one somewhere anyways... when i first looked at it it looked like u had just taked a picture of a butterfly and when i read that it was watercolor i was like NO WAY! so of course i zoomed in... AMAZING job on this one hon!
