Description
The species litoria, commonly known by the overarching name pollywog, are a creature found throughout the world. Incalculable sub-species exist due to the incredible adaptation abilities of the primary species, Litoria litoria, but the most common are those that dwell in forests and woods, Litoria silvae, the common forest pollywog. The forest pollywog differs from its parent species in that its fur has developed a pale-to-moderate green color, and its fins developed a dark green hue, as well as a texture akin to long, fine fur more than the skin-like webbing that its more amphibious cousins develop. Like all species of pollywog, they are thread-sensitive, drawing upon the latent roh energy in their environment in order to float and 'swim' in the air. They have lost all necessity to constantly return to water, although they enjoy splashing about regardless.
The forest pollywog, like most of its brethren, is an insectivore, although it has developed hardened teeth in order to fend off attackers and protect itself should the need arise. Of course, the pollywog works in such a way that the need should not arise; due to their coloration, they rely on the foliage to provide cover, and thanks to their sinuous bodies can easily slip between branches and slide into the densest part of the undergrowth in order to avoid predators. They travel in small groups, with at least one among them acting as a scout, and will flee at the surest sign of confirmed danger.
Unfortunately, they distinguish very heavily between 'confirmed' and 'unconfirmed', and have been known to greet humans with curiosity and playfulness. This can be either a positive experience or a negative one for the pollywog; though most people find them harmless and, admittedly, rather cute, hunters are prone to killing and skinning them in order to obtain their soft fur pelts and fine, feathery fins.
The pollywog's body is mostly lean meat and muscle, and relatively little of it, making them a poor primary dish, but when boiled down produces a fine, almost buttery oil with a very distinctive taste, typically used as an ingredient in soufle.
Though they can be found in northern forests, they prefer tropical and sub-tropical locations. They are a very common sight around the island-town of Carona.

POLLYWOG! *nodnod*
COLORED! *nodnod*
And it's GREEN and FUZZY and HAS SHINY!BLUE!EYES! *nodnod*
Why? Because I love them. And so should you. Pollywogs are among the most obscenely cute things that have ever violently attempted to bite me in a video game. Oh Threads of Fate monsters, you never were very imposing. ^_^
Except you, you god-damn Chimaera. I hate you. Forever.
Anyway, little information on a Pollywog. I know some of it pertains to information that's sitting around in my head (thread-sensitive? Roh?) and, well... your fault for not being in my mind. But stay out of it, I don't want you here, you ruin the nightclubs.
As quick clarification, my magic system involves latent natural energies known as "threads" that exist throughout the world and compose all of it. Though animals are composed of an extremely complex web that cannot be pulled, the energy in the air and the environment can be tapped into and manipulated, or woven, by one who has the gift of feeling the energy, and has proper training in how to weave it to their advantage. Roh is the term granted to air threads, and the word of concentration typically uttered when weaving them.
KAY YOUR CAUGHT UP.
Anyway. Pollywog. Yes. Green. Yes. I know they're yellow and pink in the game, but that's silly. Stand out like pale yellow things in a dense forest, they do, they must get eaten like crazy...

I have, but then I realized that my tablet hates me and it really does not work with a mouse.
I want one for a pet. ^_^ I didn't realize it after I finished (at... two in the morning? Yes? Maybe? I forgot, I was out of it) but then I went back, and realized that I do have a distinct and absurdly ironic affinity for fuzzy green things. OH IRONY.
