No worries. The facial expressions were what originally had me thinking it was Beck. Sam's voice and facial expressions would have carried differently; they were more coarse. This character's word choices (and expressions) fit more with Beck's lighter tonal quality.

But now I'm curious what happened to Mara and Zed in your canon? I always tried to imagine what it would be like when they found out. I actually kinda think Zed woulda been okay with it by the end, but Mara... I'm never sure if she would have hugged him or punched him. Or both. (lol)

Ah, that's nice to hear! Good to know I'm portraying Beck correctly

Mara went missing after Dyson showed up, and is generally assumed to have been derezzed, though no one currently in the Resistance can say that for sure. She might be somewhere leading Resistance operations herself. Zed is among the rectified programs wandering aimlessly around the Grid waiting for orders. I'm not sure yet if either of these things will actually come up over the course of the comic... I did show Hopper as a rectified sentry a couple times, just to see if anyone would notice

I wondered if that was Hopper! lol I always felt bad about Bartik when I watched the show, since we know how he ends. =\ Oh well, at least he went out in a blaze of glory. (And I still have to wonder if Zeus got out. He seems like the kind of guy who would have had a fail-safe plan, just in case. But then he'd have to disappear again. *shrug*)

Oh, also, since you referenced Tron 2.0, are you thinking of writing Jet into things? I noticed Disney carefully didn't mention anything about Alan's family at all in Legacy, so it's kinda open ended.

The names of those kids entertain me greatly. I didn't get into Tron until a short bit after Legacy hit DVD, and then I soaked up everything it had to offer. But I'd already had my own kids by that point. My oldest is named Samuel Vash, so he loves watching Legacy because it's another Sam, and my youngest is Maxwell Jethro, so they were both excited when they found out that was the name of Alan's kid. They're jealous Mom gets to fight for the users this Halloween and Dad's gonna be Clu. We told them next year, when we've had more time, we'll make them cool light up costumes too.

Heh. It wouldn't surprise me if Zuse got out, he's kind of... slithery himself. He's probably somewhere charging over-price for scarce energy or weapons or something in the post-Legacy world.

I'm not planning to write Jet into this comic, but I might eventually in future comics! I've played the game and I like the character. I think Tron 2.0 and Tron Legacy could coexist in the same timeline, there's someone I know on tumblr who puts her ideas about this quite frequently... She thinks that, since Jet saw so many innocent civilian programs while Sam really only saw CLU and a rectified army, the two of them will end up at Encom in a situation like Captain America: Civil War, where Sam wants to keep programs and AIs on a tight leash and Jet wants to let them have their freedom. It's kind of sad... but I can see it happening.

Hah! That's kind of awesome... It's great that you can all be into Tron as a family! You'll have to let me know how your costumes turn out And hope that your kids don't get growth spurts while you're making theirs next year!

It would definitely fit nicely with the themes of moral conflict that were already brought up in Uprising!
