When ever I use facepaint it comes out with patches of different amounts of paint. Where your's is really smooth.

ah okay well i use a waterbased make up and i apply it with a sponge
the colour dries very quick on the skin and don't leaves patches ^^

I do ythe same but for me it just doesn't seem to work. How much water and paint do you put on the sponge?

Not to much for start i make it part by part in layers and i use powder after
But maybe it's also the brand you use
how it's called your make up?
