Samus and a Metroid (from the Metroid video game series) as Bomberman characters (from the Bomberman video game series).I originally started drawing an evil Bomberman character, but as soon as the visor turned out to be Samus-styled, I went with it. The Metroid bomb just fell into place, and makes it all the more comical. Poor doomed Metroids. I can imagine a Bomberman game with pulsing Metroid bombs.
The original lineart was done long long ago on 1999-02-23. It looks like the clean-up and most of the coloring were done on June 30th, 2002.

This is a good piece. Sometimes it is hard to deform characters but have them remain recognizable, but you did it well.
