yeah, the deck was a lot of fun.

some thoughts though: while drawing on the deck was enjoyable and I'm pleased with the illustration I don't think it functions super well as a piece of art. the crucial problem is why a deck? the illustration has no relation and the deck serves no purpose in relaying the message. Additionally, decks are becoming the new sneaker, the new dunny, the new customizable thing, or already are I suppose. Anyways, if you're going to do a deck to skate then I'd say go for it but I know I'm going to think long and hard before I use a deck again for art.

know exactly what you're saying there.
sometimes im thinking it maybe the process of it that attracts some people. the working on it for ages then just skating over it until it wears off.
i guess i like the idea as thinking of doing a few bits and pieces round town and dont want to shout out... looook its me i painted on that wall but rather the people who saw the deck would probably mates..or mates of mates.. so could make the connection without any need to worry about getting in graff trouble... but hey ho. some of the designs on decks at the mo are pretty slick. hadnt looked at them in a while but theres some good ones out.
