Description
Just a thought - why do all in-game zerg-infested human females retain some if not all of their original physical features when nearly all of their male counterparts (the only exception so far being Alexandr Stukov) are mutated beyond recognition?I do not own a copy of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty yet.

It's because it's not sexy to not have titties on a chick in a videogame, man.
It's like why do women in fantasy RPGs wear leather straps and the men wear full plate armor? Easy, because of sex appeal man.
The chick's all mutated but at least she's still got her nockers. A dude? If videogames start showing off the sex appeal of men over women, I would probably pick up a new game.
That's why.

Yeah... Quite frankly, sex does not sell to me very well so most of those games are way out in no-man's land.

I'll tell you the reason: Blizzard will not ever make a female character that they wouldn't go to bed with. Simple.

Honestly, it is quite ridiculous. In the Beta for World of Warcraft, people complained that the female Trolls, Tauren, and Dwarves weren't 'sexy' enough, so Blizzard had them changed.

And the last I heard, dwarf women are really supposed to be mistaken for the men according to LotR.

Heh, things like that happen. Until I actually did some research, I didn't realize that Udo Kier (the actor who voiced and played the mind control psychopath Yuri in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2) starred in Ace Ventura and Blade.

i personally prefer her ghost form cuz i got the hots for sarah's flowing red hair

ChapterAquila92 In reply to DaddyWang [2010-08-07 03:17:30 +0000 UTC]
I'm indifferent to either one really - it's the same person with a different body anyways. Her infested form appeals to me in that it's somewhat exotic and that she can actually prove herself as an authority figure, but I don't get that attached to fictional characters other than my own.

That depends on the news network in question. Fox News seems to be on the extreme end of being a biased news network itself, and you'll sometimes get more reputable sources in the most unlikely places (as bizarre as it sounds, the Israelis watch Aljazeera for instance).

Hey, I know there's a massive fanbase for the former Terran ghost, so it doesn't surprise me. Like I said in the description, it was dealing with the game itself and not the novelizations.
Through what I recall, the latter was a failed attempt - the not-so-poor soul was turned into a drooling, mindless drone.

Likewise. Mind you, C&C shit the bed when EA came out with RA3 - Tanya was much better portrayed as a brunette badass than that blonde bimbo, but I digress.
What was nice about Starcraft is that Blizzard actually went the second step and developed a brilliant background and intricate storyline.

The gameplay is supposedly nice, but that's all that EA is concerned about. Unlike Blizzard, a good plot to extend the entertainment life of a game is not in EA's MO.

yeah they Killed Tiberium because its plot was to big not because they couldn't get the game play to work the game was playing at E3. They have gotten so complacent with their wealth they don't care anymore god help Blizzard i mean how long till they succum to their own power

ChapterAquila92 In reply to DarkProxy [2010-08-07 02:44:56 +0000 UTC]
I'm pretty sure that Blizzard will succumb long after the Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo series have long been concluded (whenever that will be).
The one issue that C&C suffered from and led to its downfall was the lack of an expanded universe - as far as I know, there hasn't been a novel written to enrich any of C&C's three universes.
