Description

Version française

Can it truly be said that Puerh has legs? Not really sure... but I didn't know how to translate the pun. In french, the word "queue" means "tail", but also..."male appendage"... to remain polite. So, normally, Puerh use that word in its first meaning, without need to specify "between my legs"; and of course Yamcha understands it in its second meaning.

Love it! But I have a couple of questions! 1, is there a particular reason you switched from your style to DBZ? And 2, I'm guessing that we jumped forward in time and Bulma had just "retold" what happened, from her perspective, to Yamcha?

Ouch! I'm certainly not gonna manage to make a short answer to this, but I goΒ  tried to make at least one easy-to-follow... no promises.

Well, your second question answers more or less the first one. However, we haven't exactly jumped forward in time. The "present" time of my story is the one of this page and the previous pages are flashback.
Loosely speaking, I draw in DBZ style for my "present time"'s scenes. I draw in my own style to tell the past events in the way Bulma lived them... BUT not in the way she tells them! It is to underline this point that I made this return for the present time, on this page. For example, she obviously doesn't tell Yamcha that she likes looking at Vegeta's butt. She tells him on the contrary that "Vegeta trembled with fear in front of her".

Besides, when I draw in the style DBZ, I make no signifigant change compared with the original scenario. These scenes are pure fantasy, but they could happen in the real story... or not, doesn't matter. When I draw in my style, there is some change (nothing really big at the moment, but there will be more important changes to come). My own style of drawing also announce a less faithful follow-up of the real DBZ.

To illustrate how it should all be done every time, here's my story : Bulma, Yamcha and Puerh sits around a table, discussing. Bulma explains to the others the various stages to be followed to tame a monkey (all this, DBZ style).

Every different stage makes the subject of a whole chapter. The very first pages of every chapter, Bulma develops her explanation of one of this specific point, always by representing herself as a heroine, with her triumphantly against Vegeta (DBZ style).

Then there will be several page in flash-back (a dozen at the very least) showing that event more or less (especially less) passed in a way which justifies the fact that Bulma believes that she wins something against Vegeta (all that, in my drawing style). For example, in this chapter, Vegeta actually agrees (by mistake) a deal with her; she can believe that she convinced him thanks to her great intellect as she claims it, in the beginning of chapter.

Sometimes at the end of chapter, sometimes in the middle of chapter, there will be a cut of the flash-back (ergo return in the style DBZ), to remind that Bulma doesn't tell things such as they really passed.

Then, last part of the chapter showing the continuation of the flash-back (in my drawing style again) ... and proving that Bulma knows very well that she masters absolutely nothing in front of Vegeta.
