3D skills are becoming more vital than ever in this day and age. It really depends on what position you want. I see a lot of job postings for video game character designers or asset makers and they want someone who can do full 3D modelings and renders. It's still important to build a strong 2D foundation before you move into 3D however. There are many 3D modelers out there who often times can't finish their model and texture because they don't have the right map. If you have the 2D skills you can just draw it up really quick. I hope that makes sense.

Shen is mostly displayed on Tumblr. You can check him out here . His/their creator has a few dA accounts so I might not have linked the right one. He isn't a dragon warrior at all. He's mostly just there to support and act as an intelligence broker, but you should submit an ask on the Tumblr if you want more specifics!

The designs are based off of an outfit Kimiko wore in Xiaolin Chronicles, episode 7, "Tokyo Madness." If you have an OC (preferably with a base) I'd be happy to draw up a version of this suit for them as well!
Junko is a total bae! Check out shokujupiterr 's gallery (and favorites) if you want to see the Lunar Dragon Warrior (in-training) living her best life.
As for Crystal (aka Zen), I haven't had as much experience with her, but the Xiaolin folder of Crystal-Zen 's gallery is filled with tons more of the Dragon. She and her datemate go on lots of adventures together.
Check them both out and give the deviants a watch too, while you're at it!

Xiaolin Showdown holds up well-enough. The problem presently is a lot of fans are "rediscovering" it and rewatching it with these rose-colored glasses of nostalgia and don't want to admit that it isn't as great as they remember. It's still good, don't get me wrong, but it has its' flaws too.
Xiaolin Chronicles on the other hand is a reboot from 2013-14 that aired domestically in the US on DisneyXD and it's been met with a lot of dislike from fans, to put things mildly. There are some great things in XC. There are a lot more questionable and unsavory choices, and just bad design. Give it a try, and if you can't stand it after the first 7-10 episodes then it isn't for you and there's no shame in that. Also, if you decide to watch the whole thing, do not watch episode 21, "Omi Saves the Holidays" because it just doesn't exist.
Here's a few useful links from my blog that will direct you to where you can watch both series for free in your spare time. If you have the means, please spend some money and purchase the XS DVDs (all three seasons now available). As for XC I think it's been relegated to just vimeo on demand and the episodes are packaged in a way that is more for people who have already seen the entire series of XC. Both series are worth spending the money for HD.
I hope all this helps you get back into the franchise of your own accord.

Junko always looks great imo, and I wish more people would acknowledge her. I think part of it might be she's usually in grey or black, and that washes her natural colors out. She starts off rather shy and reserved, so it makes sense that she has these clothes that make her blend into the background, so-to-speak. In the XC designs she has significantly more color, and it matches with the story of the Monks (and Clay) helping her come out of her shell and brush off the [moon] dust. Just... I love Junko and shokujupiterr and I want everyone to know how special and talented they both are.

I think she just flies in under the radar because when Junko was first debuting some people said she was just a knock off of someone else's OC that was shipped with Clay, and there really is no comparison to be had imo.
