I'm sure that's not true. There are plenty of OCs out there that maybe aren't the most innovative or original, but what matters most is that you make them into something or someone that you love and enjoy. Tell a story that only YOU can! That's what matters.
And I'm saying "not the most innovative or original" as a quote from several creators I've spoken to over the years. We all worry that our OCs are terrible, cliched, and boring, and how could anyone like them as much as we do? But the fact remains, we made them. We love and enjoy them. It's amazing that other people like them too. Give it another go. This time around you have support you didn't then. You can be anyone, for the universe it too big to make a mistake.

Seriously, though, that was cool of you to go out of your way to make back shots of each of these characters. I imagine it was no easy feat.

It was a simple process actually. Just take the pre-existing bases, reflect them horizontally, fill them in with black so there's just a silhouette. Draw in the forms and details, change most of the feet (in an ideal world you do not have to change the feet at all for this technique) to work in the new view/perspective, and then I just duplicated the silhouettes and locked the pixels so I could paint easily the skin and hair colors, then I cleaned up the line art. I can make a tutorial if you're interested.
