This is my contest entry for 's contest. It's when you have to draw any of your favorite 80's characters having summer fun so I put my best 80's foot forward.I hope they'll accept this pic 'cause I worked so hard on it. I've worked on this for about 3 or 4 days.
I'm very proud of this pic. I love how some of these characters came out! 
I decided to draw everyone swimming 'cause I'm not good at drawing bodies. I even had some characters splash each other. 
The characters in this pic are:
Wilykit and Wilykat from Thundercats (1985)
Jem (1985)
Calvin And Hobbes (1985)
Princess Allura from Voltron (1984)
Peewit, Johan and a Smurf from Smurfs (1981/1982)
Taran from Disney's The Black Cauldron (1985)
Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989) (I finally drew Ariel for all you Ariel fans!
)and Swift Heart Rabbit from Care Bears (1982)
I also added the chorus song lyrics to Duran Duran's Rio to fit the pic.

Thanks. I wanted to draw Swift Heart in a cute way and waving to the crowd and there wasn't much Ariel art in the awesome 80's club so I added her in.

Thanks. I got 1 vote on this one and I think this pic would have to be the most popular of the contest entries I did at 's contest. Even if I always get 3rd or last place, I'm still proud of the characters I drew. I hope to draw something different for the club!

Heh... I think the funny things I have in this pic are Wilykit and Wilykat splashing each other (in the upper left corner) Peewit (the blond one in the middle) splashing Johan (the black haired one) and Calvin jumping in the water with his clothes on! (upper right)
