I'm glad you like the colors because finding a fitting background was really the most troubling thing about this image. Even thought about deleting the background all together...

Well, you definitely nailed it, sometimes it is tempting to just start over on something, I get that a lot with my digital art but really, once you put so much work into it, it's bound to be good! Exploring different themes is hard but pays off, like you did here. Even weather or time of day not normally associated with happiness can be made beautiful.
Personally, I would've completely failed to find any fitting colours or background ideas that would capture the realism that this image depicts <3
Keep it up, also, believe in yourself more
