Description A digital painting I created during today's live event on Charfade's Channel. You can re-watch the live boradcast on demand for up to one week here [link]

This week was digital painting part 2 where I discussed painting a tree, blending grass and adding a water pond with tree reflections.

How did you make the grass in the foreground out of focus?

use layers and apply a small level of blur, i prefer filter > gaussian blur in photoshop CS6 (It's in other ps's too not sure which ones)

Just one question, how did you make the grass brushes smaller for the backround?

paint tool sai is a nice inexpensive alternative, it's only about 66 usd (which is like 3k-5k yen thats why it's so inexpensive) you can also try a trial.

yea, well I'm still blown away by your ability to crank this out during such a short sit-down session! I haven't been home the last 2 Thurs afternoons, otherwise I would have been online to check it out. You keep them saved online right? I still want to watch them. There's sooo much I need to learn about Photoshop still! O,o
