Dear lord, this is all on one layer? I'm not sure if I'd ever pull up enough guts to do that...or if I did, I'd likely have a lot of other previous save files to be able to fall back onto in case I mess up. ;XD Anyway—really likin' how everything flows together again, and the 'simplicity' of the trees.

as others have said, the painting looks way better than the photograph, because the painting has this sort of smooth feel to it while everything in the photograph seems sharp and edgy. also i really like the way that you made the water look very clear and shallow like the photography, also the smooth toning of the rocks and the thin fog in the distance. great work char!

Hey thank you Triz! I was practicing some new techniques in this one. I've got a lot more practice to do with woodlands... >_>

if you ask me, the painting looks better than the photograph. It's way livelier. Nice work.

yeah I tried to not focus a lot of attention on them... since the rocks were really the focal point. So I tried to just mimic the colors and shapes.

Charfade, Charfade... I just don't know how you always manage to get that uniform look to your paintings. Everything holds together so well without being flat. Bravo!
