For the Current Contest on TLKFAA: Deeper Meanings [link]Rafiki's growing lesson caught the young princes Mufasa and Taka by surprise. "Everything at one point or another started out small. With a bit of care and compassion these small seedlings will grow big and strong, just like you." said Rafiki.
---- This is a reference to the TLK Simba's pride scene where Simba and Kovu are walking in the brunt savanna where Simba teaches Kovu the lesson of new life and beginnings with a seedling.
For the contest I wanted to represent something about growth and change. At first I was going to submit something with Simba and Nala. But then thought it would be more of an interesting depiction if I did Muffy and Taka (aka Scar ) What would it be like to learn something like this and then get treated so badly. Taka's tree just like him was neglected. Dunno, just a concept I wanted to play around with.

yeah, originally it was simba and nala, but I changed it mid way and Rafiki was already drawn. looking back on it... I probably should have made him look a bit younger T_T
