This is Iris, she's become one of my mains even though she's one of my newer creations. I love her to death

Bio: Iris is a girl with a tough exterior, both literally and figuratively. She was born to a single mother, Begonia, who was rather prim and snobby, who from the moment Iris could walk and talk, she was overbearing and controlling. Constantly reminding Iris that she was poisonous and 'temporarily' ugly, that she would be much prettier when she grew older... but unlike most other caterpillar girls, she never actually grey out of her 'caterpillar form'. Begonia force Iris to be as feminine and prim as her, in an attempt to make Iris 'as pretty as a caterpillar could possibly be', Iris despised it. Even being dragged to events and talked down by other higher ups about her appearance or behaviour. All of this lead to some ongoing depression, even moments of self-harm. Eventually she snapped, snapping at her mother at one of those events and running away. Only going home to pack her things and leave.

At that point she soon managed to get a job in the hotel business, she started small but eventually became a Hotel supervisor. She didn't particularly enjoy it but it paid the bills. She didn't have many people in her life though and she usually spent most of her time alone, it was hard for her to make friends especially since lots of people tended to get on her bad side far too easily.

Although luckily she met a flirtatious and annoying-at-first tenrec by the name of Haze, even though she was initially annoyed by his flirting and teasing, they wound up talking and went to bar, got drunk and was talking about life. After that they became odd friends... and a while after that, they became a couple. Iris felt lucky, as not only did she feel someone loves her for her, but he's not even affected by her spines and poison. He can touch her and hold her like anyone else.

Currently thanks to Haze's influence and encouragement she's studying at film school to try and do something she actually enjoys for a living.
