Description
a ton of new images of sullivan von wolfe; a really old character that i’ve only introduced briefly(?) on here! i drew him a ton on my OLD DEVIANTART. he was heavily associated with pine before i revived him.
most of his story is under the cut! he’s one of my more confusing characters. sci-fi is confusing but i love it so much oh my god
BASICS;
Sullivan is of course, a scientist. Very ambitious, talkative, and (secretly) insecure and anxious. He’s terrified of death: he didn’t want to lose his progress simply because he couldn’t live long enough - and that fact ends up playing the biggest role in his later life.
HOW THIS APPLIES TO HIS STORY;
After working to achieve ways around death, he wound up finding a way to warp through dimensions and alter reality to an extent to continue playing death. It was a form of cloning that obviously hadn’t been tested before, and was highly dangerous.
The cloning worked by feeding off of a source. If there was no source, there were no clones. The host must be stored in an empty dimension called, The Tesseract, in which they are able to control the fates and stories of their clones - but this was only theorized by Sully.
In reality, once Sully entered The Tesseract, there was no way out. He was completely alone in an infinite and constantly warping box littered with stars: which were lenses that peered into billions of different timelines revolving around his clones. He also found that he couldn’t interact at all with them. He could only observe.
Sullivan’s story ends with him being driven to madness due to isolation and committing suicide, thus ending his story for all the clones to inevitably endure (or at least the ones that make it into The Tesseract; because them dying beforehand is likely).
IN SHORT;
Sullivan is merely a clone. The main story is applied to only some of the clones. His ambitions vary, and his abilities vary. That’s why in some versions of him you may see will either be floating, hopping dimensions, or alone in The Tesseract.
It’s confusing.

oh man I didn't realize you'd added more, he's so cool! so sad though so do his clones like live out how his own life would be in alternate universes? or do they just do whatever they want?
