My Loki Drawing

Here’s the second of my new Thor: Ragnarok watercolour drawings and I bring you another Loki drawing! This was definitely harder than the first one, the initial drawing of Loki took a lot longer than Thor did as Loki involved a lot of coloured pencil work as well as black and white… which made my next job with the watercolour a whole lot harder! Blending such a light colour over the top of dark pencil and giving the illusion of him coming out of the smoke effect was difficult. I almost treat the watercolours like acrylic paints in some places just to build up the thickness and then watered it down to blend it out slightly to give it more of a dusty effect. It wasn’t easy at all but I predicted before that it was never going to be an easy drawing. I knew these drawings would get more difficult as I went on and I really don’t think Hulk will be a walk in the park at all. He’s going to be very difficult but I love a good challenge no matter how stressful they are!
