Hey ^ to that guy, shut up... Nolan was inspired by 2001 thus decided to tell his own space story, just because a movie takes place in space doesn't mean it's trying to be 2001. Also to me Interstellar was 10 times the movies 2001 in terms of actual plot, dialogue, narrative, character development and cinematography/ editing. Both scores are equal though.
To the creator of this poster, this is BEAUTIFUL and I just wanted to know if it would be okay to use to put on a T shirt? PLEASE and thank you. Very creative.

I did, actually, lots of times. Kubrick is my favourite director. Interstellar is a great tribute to his work I think; part of that i love about this film is how you can really tell which film inspired which features
