Trying to navigate through the swirl of emotions Tracey was experiencing wasn't easy; Reading the heartfelt letter and receiving the news Frank Tomlinson had passed away kind of floored her.

She was having a harder time anchoring herself to anything that wouldn't send her into a fit of crying.

Setting the letter on the table, and hugging the garment bag close to her, she wandered out of the kitchen and entered into her bedroom, needing to surround herself in its warm colors and furnishings.

Drawing in a deep breath to steady herself, Tracey opened the bag and saw the gifted judo-gi, complete with a small handful of belts of various faded blacks. From the surprisingly outstanding condition of the vintage kit itself, it looked like it was well cared for. Now here was a guy who knew how to take of of his judo kit, Tracey thought, then almost felt tears welling up again.

She swallowed hard to keep the sadness down and told herself not to get overly wound up about it. She smiled, knowing Frank would've told her to get a grip in his own gruffly humorous style.

Tracey held up the judo-gi top and marveled at how well looked after it was. It appeared like it was barely even worn.

Still, she could detect the telltale subtle signs that it has been used, regardless.

The heavy cotton fabric felt soft to the touch. She wondered how it would feel wearing it.
