As per usual, whenever Tracey would put on her judo-gi, the last item to get done was tying the belt.

There were occasions at the dojo where she would get all-thumbs about it, even though she practiced it so many times, she could practically do it in her sleep. This time around, however, she got it right on the very first try.

As for dear, sweet Lucas, that was a different story.

In spite of being attentive to imitate what Tracey had done, Lucas opted instead to go for the all-thumbs method. In other words, a complete unintended foul-up.

He tried it a few more times before finally displaying both ends of the untied belt before Tracey, looking imploringly to her for a little tender assistance. "Umm, I guess I'm not getting the hang of tying it properly."

Tracey nodded understandingly, then stepped forward to help. "No sweet, babe," She said, taking up the ends and commenced the process of getting the knotting correctly made. "Believe me, when I was a novice, it took me the longest time before I could finally tie the bloody thing properly."

"You mean to say you didn't get it right immediately on the very first try. Why, I stand here completely astonished."

Tracey smirked good-naturedly, finishing her work by sharply tugging on the ends, making Lucas gasp a little in surprise. "Remember, don't be cheeky to the teacher or else she can make the lessons a little more difficult, okay, my handsome sir?"

"I stand before you suitably chastened and chastised." Lucas said, adding a slight respectful bow, although still wearing a mildly sarcastic grin.

"Smart-arse." Tracey said, giving her boyfriend a playful swat on his arm. "C'mon, champ, let's get over to our improvised dojo, shall we?"
