Description Just a little sketch from a stolen (or borrowed) idea until the person I stole it from does her own version

This is an epic meeting of two ancient enemies - the desert saint and the dessert saint...they will do battle eventually and it is said that when they meet the sky will darken (or turn pudding-coloured, at least) and frogs (frog legs particularly) will drop from the sky and the end will be nigh

That makes me think of dacoits, Indian bandits...that will be a challenge, to portray a fighting band of usually spiritual and detached/disinterested creatures, but I've already got a nice idea

Tell me again what a hoppni is, please. How did they P'chach Tsach P'chach Tsach come about originally? What does the name mean? How do they see the colonists?

You'll find honppi concept here [link]

Two honppi pics [link] [link]

The honppi are pretty much like lively little elves. They have strong magical inclination and they have unexplainable natural connection with the tsachor. They usually act in a very different manner but for some reason the tsachor don't seem to mind it. It's like the magical nature of the both resonates in some way, creating mutual understanding beyond words.

P'chach Tsach P'chach Tsach was created by a tsachor hunter called Tsucha Para Tsach, who is from the tribe Ptsch Cha. Ptscha Cha is the most passive-aggressive area of the Great Plain and most xenophobic. The group was created during the first years of colonial intrusion, after foreigners repeatedly entered the area, trying to make contact with the locals and generally behaving in the wrong way.

Tsucha Para Tsach decided it was good time for open war, even though his group never became a real army, more like a group of bandits.

They see the colonists as barbaric and useless and wrong. P'chach Tsach P'chach Tsach treat outsiders like dirt. That's rather common Ptsch Cha way, mind you, but they take it outside the boundaries of their tribal lands, and also fight the colonialists in the areas of other tribes.

Tsachors from other tribes don't usually mind. Letting Ptsch Cha bands cross your lands is generally considered "tsachor", and as such is tolerated.

The name of the group means roughly "the tsachor tradition of the tsachor lands". They don't have much imagination, yeah.

He did, yes, the lion hops around him maniacally whenever the fat saint eats and sometimes gets some tiny leftover...he's very devoted, the lion
Let's hope the desert saint wins
