Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

whoa, really freaky. The gas mask always makes everything look scarier, and the emaciated limbs all twisted together remind me vaguely of Gollum. Perhaps a comment on the twisted, ungodly idea of war and murder? How it withers away the person behind the mask into something unrecognizable? The shadows and highlights lend a really realistic quality to the skin, despite its unnatural look.

I like the design, it reminds me a lot to The Wall.

I really like the detailed gasmask and, overall, the complexity of the body's position. How many limbs it has?? I think I can see seven but maybe I'm wrong XD.
Just great

Oh, wow! I absolutely love this! The fantastic complexity of the body/limb positions, almost like an Escher piece as your eyes look around to try to figure out how it has 5 limbs! LOL And exquisitely renders, as your work always is.
But what is reflecting in the eye-pieces of its gas mask?
.. never mind, I just figured it out. Very good. And now the title makes sense, as well.
Great job.

thank you. I always love your in depth commentary Though, it has 4 arms and 2 legs. 6 limbs I believe? lol

You're right! I missed one in the tangle.
The fact that I counted wrong makes me like the piece even more -- it's like a puzzle.
