My take on the D&D elven character Vadania and her wolf companion.I wanted to add some unique features to the character, indicating her life in the wild as a ranger- her reverence for cervine culture, her rugged looks and torn and scratched clothes, her hair in dreads because she's more interested in finding dinner than finding a comb.
I gave her wolf unique markings that were unlike any other creature. They're vaguely inspired by Tasmanian tiger and Bengal tiger pelts, but different enough to read as it's own kind of special creature.
I also had a lot of fun practicing environment painting and learned a lot from this piece.
