Description
This was built by Heisler and is a fireless steam engine. This would have had a boiler track said and it would take steam from it. its sort of like a air compressor with out the pump.Related content

No it was a 0-6-0, as for PP&L the largest they ever made was the one you have right here.

Ok that's still cool though. I think the PP&L only had the one 0-8-0 and they bought second hand I think.

Did this one have four driving wheels on each side? In that case, this one worked at the Hauto Coal Power Plant, they called this one the "Series D" locomotive, a Series F was also used but it had six wheels. Many PP&L employees also called these engines thremos bottles because of their design.

I see, so it is the Series D engine, just couldn't tell from here. Didn't even notice the "D" on her nose.
