but i very often see these similiarities in morph results especialy when you work with the base morphs of course people will allways be limited to a given mathematical end possibilities and so you will often see many comparable morph results

Only handcrafted is very often like a DNA print same for Photogrametrical achieved results

though even handcrafted is not unique in Genesis context at all because you never really can derive from its FACS base to much or you gonna demolish the emotional progress (expression space) that has being made, you would need to hand carft every emotion yourself for the given character

And we see how that even ends up for trained Hollywood Artists with unbelievable resources trying to clone a dead persons emotion by hand from another persons FACS Base in a realistic light environment see StarWars Rogue One and hell the lighting was even not that luminant at all but dark as hell and people got scared

I know what you mean, the CG world still has a way to go. I did enjoy Rogue One though. I think they are at the point where even though its not perfect, these scenes are pretty convincing and dont "jump out" as being wrong in  any way. We look at this we more critically than the average person

I predict that there will be an algorithmic system that does away with the current visual motion capture. I envision a system that mimics the movement of every muscle in the face in a completely anatomically correct manner. My guess is that the number crunching on the render would get pretty intensive

Thats a pretty specialty of our Friends at Weta Digital they put a lot into their Muscle Simulation Pipeline, but yeah that is the key for us mere mortals it's unthinkable of calculating all this while rendering we already crunch so hard at Hair and it's partly still a fake and now complexity gets higher with dforce preparation the most happy with all this is Nvidia highering the complexity means more hardware revenoue everyone will run to Volta of the DAZ part every Daz PA actually who want's to stay important for me DAZ3D is as such not really exisiting anymore since the integration of I-Ray it has become a subsidiary of Nvidia they own it just not labeled this way and ergo Nvidia owns pretty much of every DAZ3D PA optimizing for their Hardware base

I know their Pipeline still Unreal Engine 4 is limited and most interesting stuff comes from Nvidia R&D

Also overall i prefer AMD Hardware it is more efficiently Designed overall though not everyone is able to master it programmatically

Nvidia though will be able to compensate some of their Hardware Inefficiencies with Software once again especially the upcoming AI Denoiser will boost it though AMD will react and that could be much more efficient again running in their full Async Context

AMDs own I-ray (Project Baikal) makes also steady progress and isn't that bad but fully hardware agnostic

About your Daz Content question not currently i work on my overall own Workflow which is resource optimized (not dictated by Nvidia), maybe some Content will grow out of that later or i gonna take everything i learned to another renderer Realtime not sure if it will be UE4 personally in available Free Engines i prefer CryEngine and Unity over UE4.

I also just have reached the stage where i really happy with my overall render efficiency and stability i gonna continuously build up on that higher scene complexity and further improve render efficiency

Im reoptimizing a lot of content from others currently and adapt it to my render context

Cool stuff, your work is really incredible.

You are very knowledgeable on the technical, I have 2 projects I am working on and would love some help.

Project 1: I want to build a small photogrametry rig using cameras something like these: www.arducam.com/
The rig would be small, probably 12" x 16" and cylindrical in shape. I just need to figure out the best way to link up multiple (36 or more) cameras and be able to fire them all simultaneously.

Project 2: I want to build a render farm, I need to figure out the hardware config. I would like to keep costs down, but be able to do some heave duty rendering. Would have to chain up a bunch of video cards or something of the sort

Any ideas on either?
