ive read every chapter, and i still like sasuke the most. tho i also like rock lee and he works soo hard i figure hed be much more developed. soo many push ups and stuff, hed be super cut. so thats why he looks that way. ill do him justice one day.just messing with my rendering, soo more stiffness here, i dont know wtf rock lee is doing body pose wise hes just on the paper.
they also arent standing side by side ona plane, just on paper.

i understand layering but im not sure how to do it with mechanical or regular pencils

well, i think the easiest way would be to start off with a harder lead, and as you come to things in the foreground use a softer lead for darker values. but that always varies. if get a good pencil set and draw from life, you'll see that you sometimes have to layer to get the values you need.
I know i suck at explanations.

What grade of graphite do you use for such sketches? 4B? 6B even?

not even. hb it alll the way mostly, but if i wanna go darker just 2b-3b, the rest gets too grainy for my paper, unless im using some with a lot of tooth. i draw on like 65lb sketching paper mostly, way more fun than those damn comic boards.

That certainly comes as a surprise. Damned if I can squeeze such nice darks out of my HBs. I think I'll start experimenting with different papers.

The new Sasuke is still an enigma. Does he carry the ghost of Orochimaru within? is he a Good guy or bad? Either way he's an awesome character and you captured him perfectly!
