I sound selfish maybe. But I feel like I've earned it. I've taught and helped many people with gender-related things. I need to take care of me too.
Also, thanks so much to everyone who has helped me so far! Even if you just briefly commented about it on someone's journal... I probably read it and it probably restored my faith in humanity to some extent. So thank you.
In reality I'm much harrier than that but call it artistic liberties.

I <3 this! I have a ftm friend and he is the bravest person that I know. The emotional roller coaster involved in every step of transitioning is such an incredible burden for any human being. That is somewhat of a tangent, but that is what this piece makes me think of.

I really hope you will get enough attention. My dream is that sometime, you American will have a healthcare system that at least roughly supports surgery like this (like it is in Germany, for example). My best wishes for you.

One day I hope to start an organization that works towards getting insurance to cover these surgeries and gives grants to transfolk who need money for transitioning. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I'm going through now.

Be patient, put your money in a savings account (ingdirect.com has relatively good rates, you just link it to your regular savings/checking account), and make sure you're putting in your own money periodically if you ever want to have enough.

A hopeful look is what I wanted. I have a lot of negative feelings, but I wanted to draw something positive. All of the support I've been getting from people since I started the site has given me a lot of hope, not just for surgery, but for humanity in general. It's nice.
It's very hard to be patient, I've been waiting a long time and this isn't like other problems which I can "put away" for days at a time. I'll probably be the most patient man in the world when I get out of this. Haha. Thanks for the advice.

I'm already male, the surgery is just to fix my body. Even the little bit of money I've made in the time I've been taking donations has given me a lot of hope. I feel better knowing that people support me. I am doing many things in an attempt to get the money, not just this. So hopefully I'll get it all together soon.
