I absolutely loved Shadow of the Colossus, I think even more than Ico... I've been wanting to do some fanart since being exposed to such an amazing looking game.really looking forward to the upcoming Last Guardian game

Not many people realize it, but this particular colossus is a female.
It also makes sense with its official name being "Gaius", which means "Mother Earth"

Actually, the names of the colossi are fan-given names that became fairly popular (I wish Team ICO would give them official names, it would make it so much cooler). We have no idea what gender they are (or even if they have genders since they are huge, rock/furry creatures)

I was going to write about how they had official names, but trying to site my sources has proven me otherwise.Β I could have sworn there was a SotC wiki site that claimed they did...the names I'm remembering are being tagged as fan made...dangit.
Technically speaking, they have no genders.Β But looking carefully at #3, you can't deny its female in figure.Β The armor and body shape clearly show it

At first, I thought they were the official names (I mean, they sound so cool, How could they not be the official names? 
And yeah, I remember when I was poking the 3rd one in the stomach, I though tit was kind of feminine 9offical, sword swinging belly dancer-mode activated my sister called it).

The Knight is one of my favorite Colossi to fight in the game, and I think you did this piece wonderfully. It really conveys the feeling of two warriors facing each other, with a strong David and Goliath feel. At the same time, it conveys the feeling that the Colossi isn't really the Goliath figure here either, but rather David; it doesn't really want to fight the Wanderer, but it has to. Very well done, very nice and moody.

My boyfriend bought me the Ico-Shadow pack for Christmas and MAN I loved it all the way
The fifteenth colossus pissed me off though, literally took me a WHOLE HOUR to kill it. ._. THAT colossus was the true boss, not the sixteenth. Boyfriend took two hours.
Fantastic picture, it reminds me of how huge the colossi SHOULD have been in my opinion.....

Wonderful game, absolutely. This picture itself could make a good cover art for the game, actually. Or just an offhand advertisement...I mean, if I were to try and share this game with someone else, and they ask for pictures or something, I could happily give them this and they would say, "whhooOOOOOOAAAA. 0u0"
