I believe it's been described as a powerful psychic blast from his eyes (depending on the writer of course) so describing it as a laser, focused light, would be incorrect. Also, you can't make arguments about "true light" in comics. Sorry. For me this fight handily goes to the guy with the bazooka in his eye. Wolverine's regeneration would be hampered by the burning from the Cyclop's blast. Of course Wolverine wouldn't engage cyclops straight up, his style is "surprise stabby stabby."

Thanks for the excuse to argue superheroes great piece!

Haha. I'm just glad it's a friendly discussion and not an all-out argument. Some people take their favorite heroes far too seriously.

I don't think anyone actually likes Cyclops. Feel bad for him, but at the same time....don't really like him, so meh! Also at the very least, Wolverine could just keep on attacking him until Cyclops is just too tired to do anything anymore, then stabbity stab him to death.

In any case, fantastic picture, as always.

It it is my understanding that they have battled several times(in comics and also in anime) and cyclops is generally victorious. Wolverine's healing factor is weaker or stronger depending on the writer/era/etc. However, it rarely makes him invulnerable and in most comics/writers, it is possible for cyclops to KO wolverine with the optic beam. In some comics, the optic beam is so powerful that it has overwhelmed wolverine's regeneration so that he could not even heal from it.
