Description
la danse rougeGracefully they dance.
Swirling past, like water flowing down the bathtub drain.
Dancing, waltzing,
Innocently roaming towards one another,
Yet unaware.
Dancing, they glimpse one another,
Seeing what they cannot reach.
Fingers outstretched, they are a Bible's width apart.
But they dance, unable to interrupt the steps, even for a fleeting moment.
Enchanted on a red dance floor,
Entranced by each other's hips, undulating in the crimson light.
Never to meet, to feel, to embrace,
To understand, to love.
