Description Never in the history of the world has any soldier sacrificed more for the freedom and liberty of total strangers than the American soldier. And, our soldiers don't just give freedom abroad, they preserve it for us here at home.

For it has been said so truthfully that it is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag.

It is sad that people have lost the gratitude for freedom through military victory, and, in turn, the gratitude for the American soldier who sheds his blood so that others do not have to shed their own. A very beautiful picture and even more meaningful and beautiful words.

I may not agree with the reasons people go to war, but I can respect their integrity, as I can appreciate the integrity of this shot. Great job, unique perspective, and patriotic to boot. You ought to be proud

I like the shot its a good perspective on the flag.... whilst I and/or many others may disagree with certain US foreign deployments I do try to keep a certain level of respect for any soldiers following through those policies no matter how many of them are caught urinating on iraqi prisoners.
