Yes, it reminds me of the copper wire I like to work with from time to time. And copper is my favorite metal.

 I used to do stained glass way back in the day - we used copper tape-foil...it was a neat hobby but very time-consuming. I know some very prolific artists who stuck with it, though.

I'm fascinated by stained glass and I know I wouldn't have the patience for that. I did buy some glass mosaic tiles for a tabletop project I wanted desperately to try. It was an epic fail. The pattern was nice but the humidity was not. I really admire people who can work in stained glass, or any other medium that escapes me... And I really like learning about the processes for those media.
