Well, it looks to me like you still do!  Your backgrounds do remind me of finger paints now that you mentioned it.  And I guess my dislike of messes of any kind keep mine nice and tidy.  It's funny how our personal likes and dislikes come out in our art.   Have a great Friday and weekend.  HaHa!  Since I'm at home all the time, every day is the weekend.  At least that's how I treat them all ... one big vacation with a little responsibility thrown in.  Guess I'm just a big kid after all.

That's very kind of you to say - thanks Linda!   Well, I'm just not a firm believer in total, absolute precision at all times - the world's an imperfect place, and my art reflects reality in that sense. On the other hand, your abstracts are the kinds that millions of people would see every day on magazine covers, in famous art galleries and on countless coffee tables the world over! It speaks volumes to your talents.

My goodness!  I never thought of myself as that type of artist.  Just one who loves the peace that comes from immersing yourself in a project and letting your mind run free and seeing what results from your efforts.  I read that mental patients think art helps in their rehabilitation.  Maybe that's the key.  I did survive meningitis and found that my creative processes were heightened afterwards.  A little crazy goes a long way in creativity because you don't feel fettered by conventions.  Ah well, here I am being philosophical again.  Just keep enjoying what you do and it will show in your work, I believe.  We're taking a break for a couple of days from house hunting.  We got ourselves a great agent to represent us as buyers and she's turning out to be a friend as well.  Our agent as a seller has hopefully set up a couple of showings of our house next week, so keep your fingers crossed.

All great news - and yes, you are that type of artist. Before I came on to dA, I thought what art I had created wouldn't be of much account - but a lot of that had to do with motivation to "get the word out" and present it to as many people as possible. This site fit the bill for me perfectly. I believe I always did have that artistic "slant" in me, but it never really manifested itself until very recently. And yes, I'm no fan of conventions - but I'm sure you've gathered that already.
And I'm glad to hear that the house-hunting prospects seem to be improving for you - I will hope for the best for you both; I have a good feeling you'll be getting some happy news before too long.
