People seem to enjoy titling Invader Zim fanart three of the same word with no spaces in between them.Maybe if I follow suit, I'll have the same popularity!
I don't know how this idea fleshed out the way it did, but Zim has somehow achieved jock status. He's sort of that fiesty little one nobody screws with.
Dib, however, is still Dib.
And now that Zim has sort of lost touch with the need to conquer Earth in the face of actual acceptance, Dib ended up floundering along in the social waters after him, becoming something of a friend.
Originally I was gonna make Dib's shirt say "WRATH" like Dylan Klebold's did on the day of the Columbine shooting. I thought it would be witty. But eventually I decided that'd be disrespectful and didn't.

I think when we watch stuff as kids, we don't get all those weird ideas in our heads. But when people get into cartoons and things as teenagers, they bring all their weird romancey hormonal ideas with them.
I like it sometimes because I want them both to find acceptance. The only person who pays attention to Zim is Dib and vice versa. They're almost like friends already in that way. I just want them both to be happy eventually. And it's so weird and messed up that it's almost kind of cute. (Well, that's how my demented brain works, anyway.)
I totally understand why you wouldn't like it, though. It' really weird. My cousins go through my sketchbooks and go "EWWWW!"

I can stand it, and i have to give credit to the artists, and i watch zadr crap on u tube, its just so nasty though, especialy the "hard core" zadr. I cant believe people would do such a thing to IZ, its such an awesome show!
P.S. I only watch the zadr on u tube 'cause i like the song playing & the art is good (eventhough its zadr crap).

Yeah... hardcore stuff about a kid's show is extremely weird. On one hand I love that people are inspired by the show and make art, but on the other it's pretty shocking how much people can twist something that's supposed to be for young kids and then defend it.
I know Jhonen doesn't like what people do to his characters, and that's frustrating. When somebody creates a show or a book, the fans should respect how he or she crafted it. I want to be an author, but I know my characters will end up online in dirty pictures eventually, which is really annoying.
It's cool that you're tolerant of stuff that you don't like. I wish more Zim fans were like you- respectful to one another even when they don't agree.
